Sunday, March 14, 2010
Richard Jefferson has teased the Spurs previously this season. He'd have a good game and then disappear for a while. On Friday night, the forward could not have expected what happened following his first scoreless game in six seasons. Coach Greg Popovich re-inserted him into the starting lineup."I was thinking, 'Coming off the worst game of my professional career?'" Jefferson said. "I was a little shocked, but I tried to do the same thing I've been trying to focus on the last couple of games, just rebounding, pulling the ball down, trying to push it, trying to start a couple of plays and trying to get going."On cue, Jefferson responded with 19 points and nine rebounds to help the Spurs get a win in Minnesota.
