The Spurs will find positives in anything they can at the moment, and Monday's win at New Orleans provided that opportunity on a couple of fronts.Realizing they're likely too far behind the streaking Mavericks to make a run at the division title, the Spurs want to bone up on the road, where they were just 12-14 heading to New Orleans. The San Antonio Spurs waived swingman Michael Finley after nearly five seasons Monday, giving the 15-year veteran a chance to finish the season with more playing time elsewhere. The Spurs said they honored Finley's request to be released from his contract, which was in its final year after he exercised a $2.5 million option this season.
